Single Occupancy - Add 25% to the double occupancy rate.
Third Adult in room is 2/3 of the double occupancy rate.
Children (aged 6 to 12) sharing a room with 2 adults are one half the double occupancy rate. Children aged 5 & under sharing a room with 2 adults is one quarter the double occupancy rate. Children booked into a room to themselves, no matter the age, are charged full adult rates.
Families - As much as we like inner peace, Arowhon values outer peace too. We encourage parents to ensure their children preserve this calm and quiet environment in the cabins, around the grounds and in the dining room. We have limited “family accommodation”. Children may sign up for an early dinner at 5:30 pm followed by group babysitting until 8 pm while the parents dine. Children’s menu options are available at every meal.
Weekly Stays - A full week of peace includes a day “on the house”. Stay for seven nights and pay for six!
Accommodation - Rooms have either one queen bed or two twin sized beds- ideal for two people! Twin beds can be made into a “king”. We add a rollaway bed for a 3rd person in the room. Some rooms in our family accommodation, in addition to bed(s) for adults, have an alcove with bunk beds for children. We guarantee specified accommodation for 4 or more night stays. For shorter stays, be assured that we try our best to fulfill your requests, but cannot guarantee.
A fully wheelchair accessible room is available- with ramp, wider doors, a “wheel-in” shower unit and more. Please let us know if you prefer a tub or walk-in shower unit in your room.
All rooms, lounges, decks, main dock, and dining room including verandah are non-smoking. There are two designated outside smoking areas.
Tipping & Taxes - Rates are subject to a 15% service charge (in lieu of tipping- please, no additional tipping) THEN current Canadian taxes (13% HST). The HST is calculated on the base rate plus the service charge.
A deposit of $150.00 PER PERSON is required to confirm a reservation for stays of 7 nights or less. Longer stays (over 7 nights) will require pre-payment of half the total invoice. Deposits are refundable if a cancellation is received 30 DAYS PRIOR to the arrival date. Deposits are forfeit for failure to keep reservation as booked.
Payment Options - Payment is due upon checkout. Cash, debit, VISA and Mastercard will be accepted.
Check-In time is 3 pm. Let us know if you plan to arrive early and/or have lunch as your first meal. We will try to have your room ready early.
If arriving after 8 pm, please contact us to order a cold plate for a late dinner.

What To Bring
- Casual sporty clothes
- Sturdy boots for walking and sneakers or sandals for the boats
- A water bottle
- No matter what the season, a sweater for cooler nights and rain gear. In September and October, bring a warm jacket.
You will find bathrobes and hair dryers in every room. Available upon request - iron and ironing board, raised toilet seats, tub chairs, bed extensions. If you need something, please ask.
Pets - Sorry, pets are not allowed. We are happy to recommend Happy Tails Pet Resort in Huntsville.
Atmosphere - We aim for a quiet and peaceful atmosphere where guests can explore and experience nature in Algonquin Park, read peacefully, swim and relax undisturbed around the grounds. There are no TV’s or telephones in your room and no motor boats on the lakes (with the exception of our pontoon boat used for tours and emergencies). Please be respectful of others - no excessive noise in your room or common lounges after 10 pm!
Telephones - There are 2 telephone booths on the Arowhon grounds that will connect you to the outside world. Pay phone charges on your credit card are excessive - bring a phonecard or buy one from the office. You can receive cellular phone reception up and down Highway 60, but on our grounds, the service is sporadic. If you happen to receive a signal, please keep it to yourself. Arowhon is a place to detach from the demands of technology.
Arowhon is secluded from modern life, but there is free WI-FI available at the Algonquin Park Visitor’s Center. For absolute cyberspace emergencies, we have a top secret bunker with laptop and internet access (not WI-FI) for our guests - please see the office for the key. It is best to plan to be incommunicado.
