Arowhon Pines is fully booked for the rest of the 2021 season; we are taking bookings for 2022 at this time.
Autumn Guests with Reservations:
Algonquin Park is busy in the fall, especially during the weekends. If you arrive at either the West or East Gate and Algonquin Park has reached capacity, visitors will not be permitted to enter. This absolutely does not affect registered guests of Arowhon Pines. Drive through and do not stop to pay for a permit; we will provide you one upon arrival. Weekend guests should know that Park trails are busy, your favourites might be closed and parking lots full; traffic on Highway 60 is slow and (gasp) you might not make it back for lunch! Enjoy our trails instead that start from our property. If you do venture out, make sure that you bring your park permit and display it on your dashboard. Stay safe.

The quiet of winter gives Algonquin an even more magical beauty. Cross-country skis will soon be the only path into Arowhon’s world of white. Our work is done for now. It’s remarkable all that has been done in four months. There’s a sparkling new kitchen built from the bottom up – the chef is very happy! The office has a real entranceway. Waynewood has new old barnboard flooring and a much anticipated screened-in porch - we’ve kept the open deck too! You’ll notice more changes in Lakeview, Cedarview, Hilltop, Birchview and other rooms. We are accepting bookings for The LK this year.
We look forward to showing you around!
All the best for 2016!
Sincerely, Theresa, David & Adam
Arowhon specializes in unforgettable birthday, family reunion and anniversary celebrations, as well as small and intimate weddings. Families and friends gather in the cabin lounge or relax on the deck by the lake. Savour delicious meals in our rustic log dining room. Spend the days exploring by canoe or take a walk in the woods looking for moose. Sail. Play tennis. Ping pong anyone? Relax.
Now booking for 2017 Exclusive Weddings – May and June weekends, July 7/8 and September 8/9. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
A holiday at Arowhon offers simple, back to nature, rustic living with breathtaking views, delicious fresh food, peace and quiet.
The greatest luxury today may well be the ability to truly drop off the grid. When you put away your gadgets, we assure you that you’ll feel free and more content. An Arowhon holiday is when family bonds are strengthened while day tripping by canoe, enjoying picnic lunches at a campsite along the shore and swimming in the lake. Conversations at meal times will be with heads up, full of laughter and love. Because you’re outside all day, you’ll sleep like a baby. Happily, we provide no televisions, no telephones and no WIFI. Cell reception is sporadic. (There are two house phones on the grounds and a secret bunker with laptop for emergencies.) This is real life.

A beautiful photo of happiness galore at Arowhon Pines in 1981. Thank you to Andy and Christine Attalai for sending this. The photograph was taken by Andy’s parents, Peter and Lilly Attalai who were guests here for 30+ years!

Although we’ve been experiencing summer-like temperatures all week – a few of us are still out swimming daily (water temperature is 18 degrees) – we know that the chillier weather is in the forecast.
Soon, the dining room fire will be lit every meal to welcome guests. The bellmen will spend much of the day replenishing wood in the cabins and splitting wood for kindling. The chef will be pondering the Thanksgiving Weekend menu. Our bathing suits and sandals will be packed away for another season. And guests will try to decide where best to see the magnificent changing colours of the leaves, by canoe or on a trail?
We look forward to welcoming autumn (and you!) to Algonquin Park.

It's the last week of summer with hot and sunny weather in the forecast. Thank you to all our summer guests who enjoyed swimming in the lake, canoeing, hiking, the moose, the food and the new renovated rooms.
Our best regards!
